Abby Nelson is a transfer student to West Liberty University. She is from Bridgeport, Ohio and is a graduate of Bridgeport High School. While at West Liberty she is majoring in broadcasting with a minor in graphic design.
Abby gained her love for broadcasting when she became a part of a local broadcast program at Saint Clairsville high school. In this program Abby took part in being the news anchor, reporter and videographer, while also creating podcasts for the programs WSTC News.
Outside of school, Abby is busy working three jobs, American Eagle, Victoria Secret and Old Navy. In the free time she does get from school and work, she enjoys traveling and simply being outside. Although she has traveled many places in her life her favorite state to explore in is of course West Virginia. Abby’s favorite place she has visited recently was Harpers Ferry, West Virginia. She loves the history behind this town and the gorgeous scenery.
After graduation Abby aspires to take her education and pursue a job in broadcasting as a news anchor or reporter in a local news station. To Abby, college radio is a way for students to not only get involved with their school but even their listeners.
