Matty Lamp

 

Mattelyn “Matty” Lamp is a Media Communications student at West Liberty University. She is from Saint Marys, West Virginia. While in high school, she attended Mid-Ohio Valley Technical Institution for three years and completed classes in graphic design and multimedia publication. She was in charge of creating promotional material for both MOVTI and for West Virginia Public Broadcasting. This is where she discovered her passion for videography.

Mattelyn is v ery involved on campus. She is the president and founder of the WLU Crochet Club, where she teaches beginners how to crochet. She is also a Student Media Creator who covers student events on campus, and she is the producer of the webshow “What’s Up, West Lib?” During the summer breaks, she works at her town’s radio station Lite Rock 93R, where she creates radio commercials and covers town events during radio broadcasts. In her spare time, she enjoys listening to music, crocheting, and spending time with her friends.

After she graduates with her Bachelor’s degree in Media Communications, she aspires to become a producer for television, specifically for shows that revolve around educational or kid’s content. She strives to create media that teaches, and her goal is to utilize both her skills and creativity to positively influence people.
