On Saturday, October 14, WGLZ had the honor of playing music at the Alumni Tent for Homecoming 2017. WGLZ played an eclectic mixture of songs from the 1960s to today as well as sell shirts and broadcast the football game. WGLZ also ran into former deejay Matt Halter, who worked at WGLZ in 1993. College Radio Day 2017 Wrap-Up
College Radio Day was a success this year! All of our new and returning DJs got to participate in the first half of the 48 hour marathon with two hour shows, each having their own unique style and theme. Each DJ did interviews, took song requests, and gave a WGLZ t-shirt away. The second half of our College Radio Day event was run by our general manager Walker Polivka. For almost every hour there was an interview being done, and whenever there wasn’t an one going on, there were prizes being given away to numerous amounts our students.
With the motivation to work and dedication to the station, the crew at WGLZ was able to make this event happen. Thanks to all of the students on campus who participated in our drawing, and to the people in charge of College Radio Day for keeping this event going every year!
