Hughes Hall is the designated housing facility for graduate students. Graduate Assistants receiving room waivers are assigned to a private room in Hughes Hall on the graduate student floor. Graduate students who do not receive an assistantship may opt for a single room in Hughes Hall, or may request an apartment. Graduate students can request any other residential facility as well. For pictures and details on all facilities, go to our Housing Facilities page.
We offer three student houses located behind the West Family Athletic Complex that house graduate students. The rooms in each house are singles, furnished with a twin bed, a desk, and a chair. These are of limited availability and can be requested through the regular graduate housing application.
Even if you are unsure of your final plan for graduate school, complete the Graduate Housing Application now! Students can submit their Graduate Student Housing Application through their Housing Portal on the single-on. The application can be found under the “Applications and Forms’ tab.
Assignments are made based on the date we receive the application and deposit. So we encourage you to apply early and pay your deposit early. We will complete assignments in mid-December/early January for the spring semester, and we will make assignments in early June for the fall semester. We will initially communicate room information via email, and all updates will be available in the Housing Portal. Students can sign into the Housing Portal through their single sign-on.
If you are unsure about your housing plan, we still recommend you apply and pay your deposit. The deposit is refundable if housing is cancelled prior to December 15th for the spring semester and prior to July 15th for the fall semester. If you wish to cancel, simply complete the Housing Cancellation Form. A refund of the deposit will take 1-2 weeks to process.
