Several specialty housing opportunities are available in addition to our traditional residence hall facilities, including houses and apartments. The University has not yet finalized costs for tuition, fees, or room/board costs for 2018-19. We will share that information as it is set later in the semester. Submit your application online.
Houses
- For Academic Year 2018-19, we will offer Greek housing options to national fraternities and sororities.
- Special requirements for the student houses include: 2.0 minimum GPA, and sophomore status.
Commons Apartments
- Commons Apartments are designed as townhouses to house three residents. Each apartment contains a living room and kitchen on the first floor, with two bedrooms and a bathroom on the second floor.
- Students applying for Commons Apartments are required to sign up with three roommates in order to be eligible. Any incomplete application sets (with only one or two roommates, will not be considered unless there are empty apartments after all full application sets are assigned).
- Special requirements for the Commons Apartments include: 2.0 minimum GPA and sophomore status.
- To retain “squatter’s rights” to the apartment, all applicants who are returning as students must apply together.

University Place Apartments I
- University Place Apartments I have three apartments designed as two bedroom apartments. Typically, current residents request to move to these apartments and are given first priority. The remaining 12 apartments are designed as three bedroom apartments.
- Bedrooms are furnished with residence hall style furniture (bed, dresser, desk and chair). Additionally, the University provides living room furniture, refrigerator, dishwasher, stove and oven. Students are not permitted to bring large furniture items to UP I due to the narrow hallways/stairwells.
- Students who receive athletic or fine arts housing waivers/scholarships/grants, cannot use this financial aid for the UP I. Students with academic housing waivers/scholarships/grants should contact the Office of Housing & Student Life to review if their scholarship is transferrable before committing to these apartments. This transferability depends on the individual student’s total financial aid package.
- New policies will be implemented for the 2015-16 year for both of the University Place buildings. For additional details, check out the UP Information Site.
University Place Apartments II
- University Place Apartments II are apartments that are leased by the University.
- UP II have two bedrooms, two bathrooms, laundry in unit, living room, and kitchen. UP II apartments are furnished with bedroom furniture (bed, desk, desk chair), and have appliances including, refrigerator, stove, oven, dishwasher, and washer/dryer unit.
- Students who receive athletic or fine arts housing waivers/scholarships/grants, cannot use this financial aid for the UP II. Students with academic housing waivers/scholarships/grants should contact the Office of Housing & Student Life to review if their scholarship is transferrable before committing to these apartments. This transferability depends on the individual student’s total financial aid package.

New Apartments for 2018-19
- New Apartments will be leased by the University for 2018-19 located on Short Creek Road just off of Route 88 south of main campus.
- These apartments have four bedrooms, two bathrooms, living room, and kitchen. The apartments are furnished with bedroom furniture (bed, desk, desk chair), and have appliances including, refrigerator, stove, and oven.
- Students who receive athletic or fine arts housing waivers/scholarships/grants, cannot use this financial aid for the UP II. Students with academic housing waivers/scholarships/grants should contact the Office of Housing & Student Life to review if their scholarship is transferrable before committing to these apartments. This transferability depends on the individual student’s total financial aid package.

Designated Singles and Premium Designated Singles
- Designated Singles will be available at Boyd Hall and Rogers Hall. These will be private rooms at the same cost as a double room in other residence halls.
- Premium Designated Singles will be available at Curtis Hall. These will be private rooms at a cost approximately half of the cost of full price single room in other residence halls.
Final costs for 2018-19 will be posted after the approval process is complete near the end of the spring 2018 semester.
