Professional Licensure & Certification Disclosures
West Liberty University (WLU) academic programs leading to a professional license or certification are designed to prepare students to apply for licensure or certification in West Virginia and may not meet educational requirements for licensure or certification in other states.
Use the links below to review state disclosure information by program.
If we have not determined whether completion of a WLU program meets educational requirements for licensure or certification in a state, you should contact that state’s licensing agency to determine whether completion of WLU’s program meets its educational requirements for licensure.
Since state requirements change frequently, we highly recommend that you contact the appropriate state licensing agency in your state or the state in which you intend to work to seek the most up-to-date information about state licensure requirements before enrolling in the program. While WLU makes every effort to ensure licensure information is current, licensure regulations change frequently.
Please Note: State licensure boards may require applicants to complete professional examinations, background checks, years of professional experience, residence requirements, jurisprudence exams, training, etc. in addition to educational requirements.
