For the best tour experience for prospective Zoo Science students, we encourage you to schedule a campus tour only on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays at 12:00pm or 1:00pm to best see the animals, facilities and talk with faculty. After your campus visit, allot time to tour the Oglebay Good Zoo located just 4 miles from campus.
When selecting your major, please note that WLU offers majors in Zoo Science with tracks in Zoo Science, Applied Conservation and Marine & Aquarium Science through the College of Sciences. Additionally, Zoo Management is offered through the College of Business for students interested in operations.
When you arrive on campus you will report to Shaw Hall. Enter the campus through the main gate and it is the brick building with white pillars located directly in front of you. You may park to the left of this building. There are signs for tour parking or visitor parking. You will then cross the street and use the side entrance of the building. Our reception area will be to your left when you enter where we will give you a permit for parking.
