West Liberty University offers dual enrollment courses through the early entrance program to students attending Central Catholic High School, John Marshall High School, Wheeling Park High School and Bridgeport High School (Ohio).
Admission Requirements: Students must have an overall high school grade point average of 3.0 and have completed at least 12 college preparatory courses or approval from a counselor or principal.
Application: Students must complete the dual enrollment application form by clicking the button below. There is no application fee.
Deadline to Apply: Applications must be submitted by Friday, September 4, 2026 by 4:00pm.
Transcripts: Students must request their high school transcript to be sent directly to WLU.
Registration: Counselors will verify that students are registered for class and work with WLU to enroll students in the appropriate college equivalent courses.
Payment of Courses: Students who are enrolled in an approved pathway at a WV high school will have the course costs covered by the State of WV and their Level Up, West Virginia program. Students who are enrolled in an approved pathway at an OH high school will have the course costs covered by an agreement with the Ohio Department of Education and Bridgeport Exempted Village School District.
Submission of Grades: Grades are submitted to WLU by the high school instructors.
Requesting Transcripts from WLU: If a student is not attending WLU and wishes to transfer courses to another university, a transcript can be requested online by visiting westliberty.edu/registrar and clicking on the transcript option.
Seniors Applying to WLU:
Dual-enrolled students are now eligible for direct admission to West Liberty University as first-time freshman students.
