The local chapter of the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) is an organization available for any student of any major. Every semester, the campus transforms for one special day. The CEC is an international organization known as the voice and vision for special education.
One of the main activities the West Liberty University Chapter of the Council for Exceptional Children organization undertakes in Fitness and Fun Day. Each semester approximately 150 area children with special needs spend the day with their teachers and paraprofessionals engaged in fun hands-on activities and fitness stations in the WLU ASRC.
