=New Programs=
Faculty members in the Department of Professional Education dedicated their time to plan new programs. More information will be available soon.

=Instructional Technology=
Our Instructional Technology faculty members are here to provide pre-service teachers with professional instruction in mobile technology. The College of Education takes the initiative in leveraging mobile technology (e.g., iPad) for enhanced instruction.

=New Secondary Block Room Furniture=
New furniture was set up in the Secondary Block classroom. West Liberty University offers the Bachelor of Arts degree in Secondary Education that prepares teacher candidates for content specific certification from grades 5-Adult in English, Math, General Science, Biology, Chemistry, and Social Studies.

=New Technology Lab=
The Technology Lab is coming up at Main Hall 324 A with Apple TV, cutting-edge interactive whiteboards, and mobile technologies. The Lab schedule will be announced soon.

=The Support Center for Students with Disabilities=
The College Support Center for Students with Disabilities is running at Shotwell Hall 108. The Center schedule will be announced soon.

=The Community Education Center=
The Community Education Center is coming up at Shotwell Hall 104. The Center schedule will be announced on the Community Education Website soon. The Community Education Program gives students the option to select one of six wide-ranging, interdisciplinary majors that expand learning and knowledge of children and adult learners outside the realm of traditional classrooms into the community. =CPI Training=
Our student teachers received the Crisis Prevention Institute Training in the safe management of disruptive and assaultive behavior. The pre-service teachers learned the best practices and safe behavior management methods that focus on prevention.

=hAPPy Friday Tools/Apps Learning=
The Trading Cards is a handy app for teachers and students to create flash cards and help students study, summarize books, follow characters in a book study, and so much more! Check out the App Integration Snapshot and watch the quick Tutorial Video to know how to use the app within an educational setting. The app is put out by the International Reading Association and is useful in all content areas. It is appropriate for grades 3-12! (Source: Bridge Point Elementary Educational Technology Department)
