“This gift will impact the health care of our entire region and state,” said President Robin C. Capehart. “We are grateful to the AEP Foundation for its support and funding of higher education at West Liberty University.”

Campbell Hall will house six programs of study: chemistry, dental hygiene, medical laboratory sciences, nursing, speech pathology/audiology and the newest WLU health science program, physician assistant studies.

“AEP is pleased to support education, particularly in the sciences, and we are happy to assist West Liberty in this health sciences effort,” said Carmen Prati-Miller, AEP Community Affairs Manager.

Construction began on Campbell Hall in July 2012. Finishing touches are now being completed and the first students and staff are expected to move in over Spring Break, March 10 – 14.AEP - Color Horiz - No Tagline

Named in honor of Dr. Clyde Campbell, who graduated from WLU in 1953 and later served as president of the institution from 1984 – 1995. Campbell also taught at the University for many years as a professor of chemistry and was a patented research scientist in the field of biological chemistry and plastics.

The four-story administrative and classroom structure was designed using neoclassical architectural elements, consistent with the overall look of the University. Architect for the project is Perfido, Weiskopf, Wagstaff and Goettel of Pittsburgh. Nello Construction of Canonsburg, Pa. is the builder.

The $23.5 million building is a result of private donations, state funding and institutional funds.

Located on Faculty Drive, below Shaw Hall, Campbell Hall is situated in a formerly wooded area of campus.  For more information, please call 304-336-8888 or visit westliberty.edu.
