WEST LIBERTY, W.Va., Sept. 24, 2018 — For more than 60 years, the Tri-State Tax Institute has met and offered career programming geared toward tax professionals, accountants, attorneys, bankers and other professionals.
This fall the annual meeting moves to a new location and will take place at the West Liberty University Highlands Center.
“The 61st annual tax seminar sponsored by the Tri-State Tax Institute and West Liberty University will be held on October 23, 2018 at the West Liberty University Highlands Center. We welcome this new affiliation with West Liberty University and are looking forward to meeting in this convenient location,” said David Croft, board member of the Tri-State Tax Institute.
“We are grateful to the Tri-State Tax Institute for bringing this impressive program to our Highlands Center and we are especially pleased that the tax institute board has offered to fund a scholarship in our Gary E. West College of Business,” said Dr. Stephen Greiner, WLU president. The scholarship will be administered by the WLU Foundation.
Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. and welcoming remarks begin at 8:15 a.m. Lunch will be served from 12:15 p.m. to 1 p.m.
Presentations will focus on the far-reaching changes brought about by the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 in addition to other topics. The popular Linda Duessel of Federated Securities Corporation is the keynote speaker and is returning to review current economic and market developments. Her talk is from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

CLE credits have been approved for West Virginia, Ohio and Pennsylvania, including 1.0 to 1.2 ethics credit. The fee is $190 for an individual or $170 for team members. (Participants are entitled to a team discount when three or more people from the same organization attend and register at the same time.)
