Ashley Carter, Wheeling, has been selected as campus visit coordinator in the Office of Admissions at West Liberty University. She began her duties on Nov. 1, 2013. Carter is responsible for planning admissions events such as open house and black and gold days, scheduling group visits for schools and other organizations and coordinating individual tours for prospective students also.

“I’m happy to join the admissions team at West Liberty University and look forward to helping prospective students discover the distinctive quality of a WLU education,” Carter said.

Previously, Carter was WLU’s campus activities coordinator, a position she held since January 2009. Before that she was a marketing and events coordinator in both North and South Carolina.

Carter also is an adjunct instructor of physical education in West Liberty’s Department of Health and Human Performance and teaches dance at both the YWCA, Wheeling, and at the Dance Difference studio, St. Clairsville, Ohio.

Carter earned a Bachelor of Science in Communications degree, with a minor in dance from Clarion University of Pennsylvania. She also has a Master of Organizational Leadership degree from Wheeling Jesuit University.
