Nathan Hess, piano professor at Ithaca College in New York, will give a solo piano recital at 3 p.m. on Nov. 20 in Elbin Auditorium, College Hall, at West Liberty University.
The performance is free and open to the public. The exciting program will features masterworks by Franz Joseph Haydn and Robert Schumann.
Hess has appeared in concert to critical acclaim throughout the United States and Europe in solo, chamber and concerto settings. He has soloed with the Erie Philharmonic, Erie Chamber Orchestra, Orchard Park Symphony, Western New York Chamber Orchestra, New River Valley Symphony and York Symphony Orchestra, among others. Recent guest recital appearances and master classes include Penn State University, Mansfield University, Waldorf College and Buffalo State College.
He holds advanced degrees from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, and the Bachelor of Music degree from James Madison University, where he was a Presser Scholar.
