The West Liberty University Exercise Physiology Club announced its annual sponsorship of the Team Mojo Foundation and the organization’s annual 5K fun run and walk. The event is slated for Saturday, April 13, 2013 at Blatnik Hall on campus.
Registration begins at 9 a.m. and the run begins at 10 a.m. Refreshments will be served by the club for participants before and after the event.
“This is the second year of the Team Mojo Foundation’s event and our second year of being a partner of not only a great event, but also a great organization aimed at creating opportunities for young people in need,” said Rick West, club moderator and instructor of exercise physiology.
“It is our way as a University to give back to the community and emphasize and encourage participation within the community by our students,” he added.
The mission of the Team Mojo Foundation is to create opportunities for underprivileged young people in the areas of education, art, music, sports, life skills and other worthwhile endeavors by providing support, guidance and financial assistance.
Candidates for Team Mojo Foundation support are identified by networking with school administrators, teachers, counselors and coaches, as well as churches, government officials, community leaders and others who share the foundation’s vision.
