West Liberty University has selected Wheeling resident Emily A. Fisher for the position of controller.
“I am pleased to be joining West Liberty University, my alma mater, and look forward to working with Vice President of Finance Stephanie Hooper and all the administration, faculty and staff,” Fisher said. She begins her new position Sept. 3.
Most recently, Fisher was with the firm of Costanzo & Associates, PLLC, a position she held for more than three years. Prior to that she interned at Bodkin, Wilson, & Kozicki.
Fisher graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a specialization in accounting in December of 2009.
Fisher earned her CPA license in November 2012. She is a member of the AICPA, West Virginia Society of CPAs and the Northern Chapter of the West Virginia Society of CPAs, for which she serves as vice-president for the 2013-2014 year. She also serves on the board of the Accounting Education Foundation.
She is currently pursuing her Master of Science degree in Accountancy through Liberty University and plans to finish in early 2014.
Fisher also is an assistant soccer coach for the Wheeling Central Women’s soccer team.
