This guide from WLU IT is meant to walk you through the steps of enrolling in Microsoft MultiFactor-Authentication.
With the move from Google Workspace Mail to Microsoft 365 Mail, you may need to sign into your WLU Microsoft account when you have not previously done so. The steps that follow will walk you through enrolling in Microsoft MFA for the first time. If you already have enrolled in Microsoft MFA by using your Microsoft Office products previously, you should not need this guide.
Enrolling via the Microsoft Authenticator App
1 To begin go to https://office.com
2 Enter your full WLU email address as your username.
3 Enter the same password that you use for the WLU SingleSignOn Portal.
4 After signing in, you’ll be asked to keep your account secure, click Next.
5 After clicking next, you will be prompted to install the Microsoft Authenticator on your mobile device. WLU IT recommends utilizing this method.
– Note: To setup using a different authenticator app select “Set up a different authentication app”
– Note: To setup MFA with your phone number instead select “Set up a different way to sign in”
6 You will be asked to setup your account in the Microsoft Authenticator app, click next once you’ve opened the app.
7 Next, scan the QR code the page displays with the Microsoft Authenticator app.
8 After scanning you will be prompted to enter the 6 digit code from the Microsoft Authenticator App. Do so, then click next.
9 Once you’ve added the authenticator, you’re all set! Click Done to continue to Microsoft Office.
Enrolling Via Phone MFA
