West Liberty University is making important changes to Google Workspace for alumni. 

In 2023 Google announced the end of unlimited storage in Google Workspace for all customers. This change impacted Universities nationwide, including West Liberty University. As a result, many universities across the nation have had to remove access for alumni users.

Beginning in the summer of 2026, WLU will transition from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365. As part of this transition, alumni accounts will be discontinued.

This means your @westliberty.edu Google Workspace account will be deactivated shortly after the May 2026 graduation. 

We strongly encourage you to:

Backup important emails, documents, and files from your account before May 9, 2026.

Update any accounts, subscriptions, or contacts that currently use your @westliberty.edu email address with your preferred personal email address.

We understand that your student account may contain important emails, documents, and memories. To help you preserve your data, we have prepared some documentation linked below.
