Master of Arts in Biology Biomedical Science
The Master of Arts in Biology Biomedical Science is a one year program that provides comprehensive preparation for professional school entrance exams and enhances proficiency in biomedical sciences. The curriculum comprises thoughtfully chosen mandatory courses and electives aimed at enhancing the academic preparedness of students pursuing health science professions such as dentistry, pharmacy, physician assistant studies, and others. This program offers a bridge option for students transitioning into medical school by providing them with essential coursework and training similar to what they would encounter in their first year of medical school. The high acceptance rate of students into medical programs after completing this program speaks to its effectiveness in preparing students for the rigors of medical education. It can be a valuable option for individuals seeking to enhance their competitiveness and readiness for medical school and other professional health programs. Additionally, the program offers an opportunity to interface with the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine for those students interested in pursuing osteopathic medicine.
