Marshall County, WV begins approximately 15 miles south of the Hilltop and extends 28 miles to the Mason-Dixon line. Historically, nearly one-third of all Hilltoppers are originally from Marshall County, WV which is also the home county of Baseball Hall of Famer, George Brett and Country Music Artist, Brad Paisley.
Full of hills and river valleys, Marshall County, WV is home to some of the most unique historical and cultural sights in the region including the Grave Creek Mound, WV Penitentiary Museum, and New Vrindaban – The Palace of Gold.
