The brand for West Liberty University Athletics is related to — but distinct from — the University’s brand. While the mission of the athletic department must always support the mission of the institution as a whole, the positioning and personality of the brand differ.
The West Liberty University athletic department is growing, aggressively pursuing excellence in character as well as excellence in competition. The athletic programs at WLU embody and amplify school spirit and build community.

We have a variety of combinations for our wordmark + logo. All of these are available as one-color prints as well, as many promotional items may have a limited number of colors available.
Athletics Team Use
Because WLU athletics covers so many sports, we made sure you had some options. Sport-specific logos are available in both the wordmark + logo combination and the wordmark versions of the logo.
Exceptions: Keep in mind that Topper the Bear Mascot logo and Hilltopper logos are ONLY for use by the athletic department and should never be used in place of the University logo. Sport-specific logos allow the name of a sport or athletic designation (like “Basketball”) but can never be used for non-sports-related situations like “Marketing” to refer to a school or non-sports-related program.
Academic groups, administrative offices and student clubs/organizations may use this logo(s) beginning January 1, 2020. All use of this logo much be approved by the Office of Marketing & Brand Management. (The date previously referred to is to ensure that these athletic oriented/created marks may be fully utilized by the West Liberty University Athletic Department prior to expanding to other departments, organizations, clubs, etc. This is in line with best practices by other Colleges and Universities.)
The font for the Hilltoppers is Octin College Bold. The accent font for text under the logo is Open Sans.
Any designs incorporating this logo must be approved by the Office of Marketing & Brand Management.
