The Wheeling Area Chamber of Commerce Annual College Fair moves to the Hilltop this October and takes place from 8:30 a.m. to noon, Monday, Oct. 7 at the Academic Sports and Recreation Complex (ASRC).

“We are pleased to host the annual College Fair and look forward to the visits of area students, parents and other individuals seeking college advice,” said Tammi Secrist, WLU director of marketing and special events. “We expect between 90-95 schools and tons of visitors and I thank everyone who worked together for months to make this year’s College Fair a success.”

Participants will have the opportunity to talk with representatives from all participating colleges and universities. Students will be bussed-in from area high schools from the Northern Panhandle of West Virginia and eastern Ohio, according to a pre-arranged schedule. Parents and other interested individuals are welcome to attend.

Information regarding various levels of adult education and graduate programs will also be available at the College Fair.

The 2013 event is sponsored by WesBanco and WTOV-9. WesBanco representatives will be available during the fair to answer any questions regarding financial planning and lending for future educational needs.
