WEST LIBERTY, W.Va., Dec. 21, 2017 — Six employees of West Liberty University are retiring from their professional duties this December.
“We wish our retiring employees all the best in their future and invite them to return to the Hilltop often,” said President Stephen Greiner recently at a reception held in honor of retiring Chief Information Officer Jim Clark.

Clark served the university for 16 years, managing IT employees and all information technology issues. Most recently, he played a leadership role in the $800,000 upgrade to the campus wireless service, which has increased Internet speed and availability significantly across campus and at all athletic events.
Other retirees for 2017 include:
- Assistant Professor of Art Robert Villamagna of Wheeling, who served 20 years in the College of Arts and Communication.
- Associate Professor of Art Nancy Tirone of Triadelphia, who served 37 years in the College of Arts and Communication.
- Trades Specialist Jeffrey Basil of Wheeling, who served 35 years in the Physical Plant working as a skilled craftsman.
- Director of Distance Learning Ann Rose, of North Fort Myers, Fla., who served 17 years in administration.
- Administrative Secretary Jody Bobek of St. Clairsville, Ohio, who served for seven and 1/2 years.

All December retirees will be honored at an end-of-year reception planned for May 2018.
