A West Liberty University alumnus has been selected to represent his company on the board of directors of a leading industry association promoting advanced technologies in North American homes and buildings in North America.
The Continental Automated Buildings Association named Diebold, Inc., a global leader in providing integrated self-service delivery, security and energy management systems and services, to its board. Diebold, in turn, designated WLU graduate Rod J. Reese as its representative to the CABA board. He currently serves as Diebold’s director of energy solutions, which interacts with the firm’s security business unit.
Reese earned a bachelor’s of science degree in marketing from West Liberty University, a master’s degree in business administration from Kent State University and advanced leadership training at the Kelly School of Business at Indiana University. In addition to his responsibilities at Diebold, Reese is a member of the adjunct faculty at Kent State University Tuscarawas Regional Campus in New Philadelphia, Ohio, teaching various upper-level marketing courses.
“I am honored and privileged at this appointment,” Reese said. “I look forward to making a strong contribution to the industry through this role and to strategically re-entrench CABA as the leading organization within the building automation space.”
Ronald J. Zimmer, CABA President & CEO, added, “I am delighted that Rod has agreed to join CABA’s Board. His wealth of experience in energy solutions and broad international experience will be of significant benefit to the Board and to CABA as a whole. We very much look forward to welcoming him to the Board.”
Reese resides in New Philadelphia with his wife, Darlene, who also is a graduate of WLU.
