West Liberty University’s Office of Community Engagement encourages all residents of West Liberty to join in the NCAA March Madness and decorate yards and homes for this weekend’s NCAA Atlantic Regional competitions.
Games take place on the WLU campus March 16, 17 and 19.
Two-time defending regional champion and tournament host West Liberty (30-1) opens the evening session at 6 p.m. against No. 8 seed Bowie State, Md. (16-13).
For the third consecutive year, Coach Jim Crutchfield’s West Virginia Conference tournament and regular-season champions have been selected as the No. 1 seed and host school for the NCAA Division II Atlantic Region tournament.
Official judging of the decorating contest will take place on Friday, March 15 and prizes include a $50 gift card to Ye Olde Alpha and a $25 gift card to Liberty Grocery. For more information, please call Vice President of Community Engagement Jeff Knierim at 304-336-8301.
