WEST LIBERTY, W.Va., April 25, 2018 — West Liberty University has selected Pittsburgh resident Joseph Rodella as its director of Information Technology.
“Joe is a talented leader with broad experiences in IT and he will continue to move West Liberty forward,” said Roberta Linger, vice president of Finance and Administration. Most recently, WLU completed nearly $1 million worth of wireless updates to campus.
His duties include developing an up-to-date campus technology master plan that will be presented to President Stephen Greiner and the Board of Governors in the near future.
Rodella has amassed more than 25 years of successful experience as an entrepreneur and leader in a technology business. His recent experience includes acting as the director of technology at Carlynton School District, located in Robinson Township, Pa.
Prior to technology sales assignments with Aerohive Networks and Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise, Rodella spent the bulk of his career building and operating RoData, Inc. as the president and chief technology officer where he oversaw all day-to-day operation and vision management for company.
During that time, he was named CIO of the Year by the Pittsburgh Technology Council in 2005.
Rodella earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration at Clarion University of Pennsylvania.
