The “Parents’ Night Out” event is held at the WL highlands center and offers free childcare for children with autism and their siblings. This allows parents to go shopping, go out to eat, or relax for a while without worrying about securing childcare from someone who understands autism and difficult behavior. Additionally, it gives students enrolled in SPED 402 (Autism II) the chance to interact and work with children with autism. This will be our second “Parents’ Night Out” event. Please feel free to pass along the flyer to anyone you know who may benefit from the service.
