National Entrepreneur Expert Jason Duff Visits WLU’s Downtown Incubator

November 4, 2013 By Maureen Zambito

Speaker, consultant, coach and award-winning serial entrepreneur Jason Duff will offer advice and inspiration at an entrepreneurship program, 6 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 14, at West Liberty University’s downtown business incubator, the Intellectual Capitol.Jason Duff

“We are very happy to have Jason on the agenda and invite every young entrepreneur and small business owner to enjoy his program,” said Dr. Carrie White, Director of West Liberty University’s Center for Entrepreneurship, a division of the Gary E. West College of Business.

Duff’s talk is entitled: Economic Development through Grant Funding. It is free and open to the public.

Recognized as one of Generation Y’s foremost business leaders, his message and business strategies deliver adrenaline for today’s small business owners and eager young entrepreneurs.

With achievements and credentials reading more of a man twice his age, Duff brings a voice to how business and wealth can be used a vehicle to create lasting and positive impact to help others.

Duff graduated from Ohio Northern University in 2005 and received a degree in business management from its James F. Dicke College of Business. He is the Founder & CEO of Community Storage & Properties, Ltd. and COMSTOR Outdoor, Ltd. and also serves in executive capacities to several other businesses and not-for-profit organizations.

With roots running deep in the heartland of America’s small-town USA environment, Duff’s distinction is his passion, tenacity and leadership in bringing commerce to small downtowns and main streets of America. His work as real estate developer and revitalization advocate has earned him the prestigious Global Student Entrepreneurship Social Impact Award, certifying him as a Main Street CEO.

A resident of Columbus, Ohio, Duff serves on the boards of numerous non-profit and universities. He also works internationally with microfinance through Opportunity International and the Young Ambassadors for Opportunity, working for hunger relief to benefit Tanzania and Rwanda, Africa.

West Liberty University and Wheeling Academy of Law and Science (WALS) partnered to create the business incubator in the heart of downtown Wheeling this past summer. Now known as the Intellectual Capitol, it is located in the historic First State Capitol, 1413 Eoff St., Intellectual Capitol’s mission is to incubate graduates and mentor them with their business goals, ultimately launching WLU alumni into self-sustaining local businesses.
