Dr. Cheryl Noll ’81 has been a faculty member and administrator in Higher Education for many years and recently joined South University as dean of its College of Business.
“I think of the great foundation that I was able to build at West Liberty and all of the good people who helped me realize what I was capable of doing,” Noll said recently when contacted by WLU Media Relations. She has many fond memories of campus and her former teachers.
Noll previously enjoyed a distinguished, 23-year academic career at Eastern Illinois University serving as the chair of the School of Business; associate chair of the School of Business; coordinator of Graduate Business Studies and full-time faculty member.
Noll received her Ph.D. from The Ohio State University, specializing in in training and development, business education and human resources. After earning her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree at WLU, she received her Masters of Business Administration from Wheeling Jesuit University.
She is currently a published member of the Society of Case Research, a member of the Society for Human Resource Management, and the Academy of Management.
Noll has received numerous academic accolades and awards for her outstanding teaching, leadership, and vital contributions to roles including chairing university councils and leading strategic planning initiatives, program and university accreditation processes, and program assessments.
Additionally, she has published numerous journal articles and case studies, coordinated academic and peer review conferences, and served as a contributor and editor to professional journals throughout her career.
