Community University Presents Program on JFK’s Assassination

November 19, 2013 By Maureen Zambito

Honoring the 50th anniversary of the tragic assassination of President John F. Kennedy on Nov. 22, West Liberty University’s Community University is presenting a two-part class that explores the murder of the youngest president ever elected to the office.

Alumnus Larry Williams and student Kacie Murray, stand near granite marker, commemorating JFK's campaign visit to the Hilltop in 1960. Murray holds an image snapped that shows the event, which includes JFK standing on a chair in front of Rogers Hall speaking to the crowd.

WLU Professor Emeritus Charles Campanizzi’s presentation, “Who Killed JFK?” will meet twice, from 10-11:30 a.m., Thursday and Friday, Nov. 21 and 22. His class will look at the overall tragedy that rocked the nation and how it has shaped American history.

According to Campanizzi, the course provides evidence of a conspiracy that killed President John. F. Kennedy. Free assassination research information will be available at the program.

Campanizzi is an educator, researcher and psychologist. For more than 44 years, he has conducted in-depth research on the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

Community University is an educational opportunity for students, age 50 and older. Offering casual classes on a wide variety of topics, these classes meet throughout the year, mostly at the Highlands Center.

Students pay a nominal fee ($25) per term and then can attend as many of the Community University classes as they wish. For more information on Community University, please contact Jeff Knierim, vice president for Community Engagement, at 304.336.8301 or jknierim@westliberty.edu.

To reach the WLU Highlands Center, located just across the street from Marquee Cinema, please call 304-217-2800.
