Building Global Vision

November 1, 2016 By Maureen Zambito

WEST LIBERTY, W.Va., Oct. 31, 2016 — November kicks off with diverse student activities as a part of International Education Month programming. Throughout the month faculty and students will share their experience of education, culture and daily life in other countries.

The International Student community on campus is an active group of students who happily share their culture with others.

The International Student community on campus is an active group of students who happily share their culture with others.

International students will talk about politics, economics and development of their countries, offering a first person account of their experience and hot topics affecting the world today.

“We want people who have never been to our countries to see the way we live now and learn more about our culture,” said Anna Mukhlaeva, an exchange student from Russia who is majoring in English. “People often know things that happened many years ago, so our goal is to show our real life and expand our campus vision.”

We hope that the campus community and the public will have a chance to hear the thoughts and experiences of our students and learn from them,” International Student Recruiter and Advisor Mia Szabo said.

All events take place in the College Union alumni room unless otherwise noted. For more information, please contact Szabo at 304-336-8270.
