The College of Arts and Communication will be holding a fundraiser, “Art in the Park” on August 26 to benefit the Robert Villamagna Jr. Memorial Scholarship for Art Therapy at WLU. This scholarship was created to raise money to honor the memory of Professor Robert Villamagna’s late son who tragically passed away a few years ago in car accident. Professor Villamagna is a faculty member in the Art program and has a Masters Degree in Art Therapy. He has played a vital role in community engagement for WLU and in promoting cultural activities in Wheeling. The fundraiser is also an initiative to create awareness about the new Art Therapy program at WLU.
The event is graciously being hosted at the home of Peter Junkersfeld and David Miller in scenic Oglebay Park. A map to the event can be found by clicking the Mapquest.com link.
