West Liberty University administrator Sherri Mason was recently promoted to Financial Reporting Manager.

“Sherri is a tremendous asset to our team and this University,” said Controller Stephanie Hooper, who is her supervisor in the business office.

Mason has been with West Liberty almost 25 years, serving as an accountant and then senior accountant.  In her new role, she will continue to be responsible for external reporting, act as the lead on the West Virginia OASIS project (state financial system) and supervise the new senior accountant, payroll and accounts payable department.

“I have always loved working in higher education and find it to be a very dynamic field of endeavor. I am grateful for the opportunity this promotion provides,” Mason said. Her office is located in the newly renovated and historic Shaw Hall.

Mason earned a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy degree at Fairmont State University. A resident of Sherrard, W.Va., she is married to Curt Mason and they are the parents of two daughters, Olivia and Monica Mason.
