Dr. David Hess is the Chief Executive Officer of WVU Medicine/Reynolds Memorial Hospital. For over 100 years Reynolds Memorial Hospital has operated as a community hospital in Glen Dale, WV. Reynolds Memorial Hospital is a 90 bed hospital with a 20 bed skilled nursing unit, and employs over 100 medical and dental practitioners. Dr. Hess also serves as the Medical Director of the Community Hospitalist Programs with WVU Health Systems, and is owner of Glen Dale Medicine & Pediatrics PLLC, and InCare Physicians PLLC.
Previously, he served as the Chief Medical Officer/Hospitalist, Chief of Staff, and Chairman of Primary Care Services of Reynolds Memorial Hospital. Additionally, he served as a member of the P & T Committee for the Health Plan of Upper Ohio Valley.
He graduated from West Virginia University with a B.A. in Economics, and Chemistry. In 1998, he earned his Doctor of Medicine at the West Virginia University School of Medicine . Upon graduation, he completed his internship and residency at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, KY.
Dr. Hess received Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honorary, and was named West Virginia Rural Practitioner of the year in 2009.
