Hello, my name is Joseph and I’m from Harpers Ferry, West Virginia. I graduated from Shepherd University in the fall of 2019 with a degree in Sociology with a concentration in Criminal Justice and a minor in Psychology. I wasn’t interested in working in healthcare until I got involved with firefighting and EMS in my community. I worked as an EMT-B during college to help pay for tuition and that’s when I discovered the PA profession. I liked that the PA profession would provide me the opportunity to educate patients to hopefully make a positive impact on their health throughout their lives. I chose to attend West Liberty University because of the rural environment and the small class size. The faculty is also very dedicated to providing us the best education possible and they always make time to address any questions or concerns that we have. Outside of class, I enjoy hiking, kayaking, fishing, and gardening.
