Program Director’s Message

Welcome to the Physician Assistant Studies Program Website! You have taken the first step in your journey in an exciting career choice as a physician assistant. “The mission of the West Liberty University Physician Assistant Program is to deliver exceptional education to candidates, preparing them to be compassionate, competent professionals and integral members of collaborative healthcare teams, providing empathetic care to all patient populations with a focus on West Virginia and its rural/underserved communities.” The campus, which is predominantly in the Classical Revival style, is located on nearly three hundred acres of verdant hilltop land in the northern panhandle of “Almost Heaven,” West Virginia. The PA Program, with its small class size, provides an intimate, safe atmosphere with the resources to provide successful matriculation, including well-appointed classrooms, state-of-the-art equipment, experienced faculty, and partnerships with healthcare facilities to provide excellent clinical experiences. This PA program website provides up-to-date information for programmatic prerequisites, the application process, program costs, curriculum, graduation requirements, PANCE pass rates, and many other links to pertinent information. If you are a successful candidate, we are thrilled to see what you can accomplish on this mountain top. Please explore the website, and if you have any questions, please contact us. Cynthia Vincent Spencer, DMSc, PA-C, DFAAPA Interim Program Director West Liberty University Master of Physician Assistant Studies Program
