Departments

Biological Sciences

Graduates from WLU’s biology program have many exciting opportunities. Many of our graduates can be found working with the environment, wildlife, botany, laboratory services, agriculture, or other science-related professions.

Dental Hygiene

The Dental Hygiene Program is committed to creating an educational environment that fosters the development of competent oral health professionals who are capable of thinking critically, solving problems and making responsible decisions in the delivery of dental hygiene care.

MA/MS Biology

The Masters Programs for Biology Majors at West Liberty University is designed to offer a flexible curriculum that meets the needs of students locally, nationally, and internationally. Students will enhance their educational and employment opportunities in the biological sciences.

Department of Nursing

The Nursing Program incorporates various educational opportunities in classroom and clinical settings to prepare students as professional nurses.

Medical Laboratory Science

Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) is a biology and chemistry-based degree that prepares students for a challenging and rewarding medical career.

Physician Assistant

The Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies degree is a 24-month program which begins in July is divided into didactic and clinical sections.

Psychology

Psychology uses the scientific method to study diverse topics such as development, personality,  cognition, perception, memory, language, intelligence, motivation, emotions, psychological disorders, and how humans relate to, interact, and influence each other individually and in groups.

Physical Sciences and Mathematics

Are you a problem solver? The Department of Physical Sciences and Mathematics prepares students for graduate work and careers where real-world problems are being solved every day. 

Zoo Science

Students will learn from zoo professionals and will be exposed to a variety of animal care facilities including zoos, aquariums and conservation centers.
