Ryan R
Wheeling, WVI am from Wheeling, WV born and raised. In 2016, I graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Therapy from Wheeling Jesuit University. While obtaining my undergraduate degree, I gained clinical experience working as a Physical Therapy Aide in acute care, skilled care, and the outpatient clinic. After graduation, I passed my boards, obtained my credentials, and became a licensed Registered Respiratory Therapist in the state of West Virginia. I worked as a therapist for the past two years in the acute care and critical care settings at a local hospital before returning to school full time as a physician assistant graduate student. I am excited to be in the West Liberty University Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies Class of 2020! I look forward to learning how to be a caring and competent PA, who is committed to providing quality patient centered care. My current areas of interest include emergency medicine and critical care, for I feel as though I would best be able to utilize my past medical experience in these specialties. Nonetheless, I am eager to acquire the knowledge and practical skills necessary to become a successful PA, and I am looking forward to my next two years as a Hilltopper.
