I am from Wheeling, WV and graduated from West Virginia University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology. The most appealing thing about any medical profession is the ability to make a tremendous impact in a person’s life firsthand. After observing a very intensive surgical procedure which involved removing a malignant tumor and seeing how involved the surgical PA was during the entire procedure, I knew this was a profession that would not only be challenging, but very rewarding. Although my current interest involves surgery, I love the fact that as a PA, I will have the ability work in other areas of medicine. I am eager to engage in a career that promotes life-long learning so that I can best serve my patients and my community. When I am not studying, I enjoy spending time with my wild, wonderful one-year old daughter. We love singing, reading, and exploring the world together every chance that we get!
