I graduated from Fairmont State University in 2017 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science. I have been interested in pursuing a career in a medical profession since high school. While at Fairmont State, I shadowed many medical disciplines and this is when I first knew that becoming a Physician Assistant would be an ideal fit. While shadowing PAs, I felt that they were not only excellent at medical diagnosis but also very compassionate and empathetic to their patients. I also witnessed how a PA cared for one of my family members dealing with a difficult diagnosis and this reassured me that the PA profession would be a perfect career for me. I chose West Liberty for its quality program, personable staff and location. Fields of medicine that I am interested in are Family, Dermatology, and Pediatrics.
