Background

Peggy Sims joined the faculty of the West Liberty University PA Program in 2023 as Academic Coordinator and Assistant Professor.  She graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology in 2004 with a BS in Physician Assistant, and began her clinical practice in orthopedics in Rochester, NY.  She has practiced in a variety of orthopedic settings since.  She completed her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies with Pace University in 2021.  She continues her orthopedic practice at UPMC Magee in the Bone and Joint Center.  She teaches in program courses such as Physical Diagnosis, Clinical Skills and Clinical Medicine.  She is a team member of Operation Walk Pittsburgh, and travels yearly to provide orthopedic care to underserved countries.  She currently resides in the South Hills of Pittsburgh with her husband, twin sons, and adoring dogs. When not at work, she enjoys reading, exercising, and cheering on her favorite youth hockey players.
