Rock, Paper, Scissors opens at 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Nutting Art Gallery on January 19th, 2011. The theme this year was voted on by WLU Art faculty and each piece in the exhibition reflects on that theme. Associate Professor of Art Brian Fencl approached the theme this way, “Rock, Paper, Scissors, is a game of selection. In several of my pieces I focused on the game itself and in the other paintings I focused on the result of the game. What was won or lost and what could happen when results are ignored.” What makes the show so interesting is the variety of materials and interpretations on display. The show will run until February 10th.
You can follow the activities in the Nutting Gallery on Facebook. The show runs from January 19-February 10, 2011.
