Students often wonder what the liberal arts are and what they can do with degree in something like English or History if they don’t want to be teachers.
On May 20th, the College of Liberal and Creative Arts will be hosting the Taste of CoLA to let local high school students experience the kinds of things one can do with a liberal arts degree. Approximately 40 students have registered to attend the event, and have each chosen four out of six sessions to in which to participate throughout the day.
Each of the sessions represents an activity of what a graduate from one of our liberal arts program might do in their career. For instance, those attending the Geography session will work on a field report, and students in the Criminal Justice session will learn about investigative procedures.
