Biography
Professor Underwood joined West Liberty University in 2017 as an Assistant Professor in Sociology. Dr. Underwood’s research and teaching interests in Sociology are vast, but some of her major areas of specializations include Dis/Ability, Health and Illness, and Deviancy. Before arriving at West Liberty, Professor Underwood taught a wide range of courses at Bowdoin College (2016-2017) and Grand Valley State University (2011-2016).
In her spare time, Professor Underwood enjoys taking in all of the beautiful sights offered in West Virginia, playing games (board games and video games), and spending time with family. She readily admits to being slightly obsessed with football and adorable animals.
