Retirement Planning
West Liberty University supplies it employees with as many options to maximize their retirement savings opportunities. To build even higher income for their retirement years, employees can make additional contributions to the Supplemental Retirement Plans. Retiree health insurance is also available to those who qualify.
Group Retirement Plans
Full-time employees are required to participate in a group retirement plan through TIAA. Employees must contribute 6% of their gross salary to their retirement accounts, and that is matched with a 6% contribution by the University.
Supplemental Retirement Plans
Full-time and part-time employees may participate in 403(b) and/or 457(b) supplemental retirement plans through TIAA. Additionally, employees must complete the enrollment process with TIAA. Please contact Human Resources for assistance.
Beneficiary Updates
Please remember to keep your beneficiary information up-to-date with PEIA and TIAA. It is important that you control who will receive your assets in the event of your death.
Health Insurance for Retirees
Employees may choose to continue their health insurance coverage after they retire.
