NEW HIRE ON-BOARDING
Supporting of newly hired employees is critical to how effectively they are able to begin support of your efforts. The information and resources below are designed to assist you or your department in on-boarding a new West Liberty University employee.
The following checklist may be helpful to you when bringing on a new West Liberty University employee:
- When the hire is confirmed, contact the employee to welcome them, tell them where to report for work, and what their expected work schedule will be.
- Review and utilize the On-Boarding Guide
- Identify mentor and ensure the new employee is scheduled to meet the mentor
- Prepare the office for the employee’s arrival
- Email IT for assistance with the following:
- Email account
- Computer set-up
- Phone number
- Access to drives, networked printers/scanners, and any other equipment
- ID card/parking pass
- Inform the employee about the campus parking pass
- The pass can be obtained from Kimberly Lemley in the Business Office.
- Provide information on faculty/staff parking lots
- Obtain employee ID card
- The card can be obtained in the mailroom which is located in the lower level of the student union.
- Inform the employee about the campus parking pass
