Call for Faculty led Study-Abroad Program Proposals for the 2022-2023 Academic Year
Submissions for faculty study abroad program proposals are open for the 2022-2023 academic year (this includes Summer 2023 programs), and will close on February 1st, 2022. Faculty members interested in leading a study abroad program can submit their proposals via an online application on the WLU Study Abroad website. To submit a faculty-led study abroad proposal please visit https://westliberty.edu/global/faculty-forms/faculty-led-academic-study-tour-proposal/.
Faculty-Led Summer Study Abroad programs offer students an international experience with WLU faculty. These programs involve WLU courses with an academic component in a foreign country, such as site visits and cultural activities.
The Study Abroad Advisor, Moonjung Kang, along with the Internationalization Committee can provide administrative and logistical support for faculty to teach WLU coursework abroad. These programs are intended to foster relationships with institutions overseas, and expand study abroad opportunities for students in every academic discipline.
All proposals undergo a formal application and review process by the Study Abroad Subcommittee and the Provost. Approved programs for all study abroad programs during the 2022-2023 academic year will begin full program development during the Spring and Summer 2023 terms to be ready for recruitment in the Fall and Spring semesters prior to the program launch.
If you are interested in applying or have further questions on how to get started, please contact Moonjung Kang (studyabroad@westliberty.edu).
