Emily Unnone is director of ICC and a senior majoring in public relations with a minor in marketing. She graduated from Martinsburg High School, in Martinsburg, West Virginia.
Emily is a member of the WLU-TV crew, an SGA senator and vice president of the Sports Business Association. She also interns for basketball and football games for the Institutional Advancement office where she helps with the Hilltopper Sporting Club. She loves spending time outside, going to different sporting events, spending time with family and her ultimate career goal is to work in media relations for a professional sports team.
“While working for ICC I have been able to grow as a person. ICC has given me the ability to work with others with differing opinions and learn how to work with others. I have also learned how to work with a team while getting hands on experience. I will carry the things that I learned through ICC to real world experiences.”
Ian Beabout is a senior interdisciplinary major, combining public relations with music technology. He graduated from Wheeling Park High School in Wheeling, W.Va.
An internet radio host, Ian is also the editor and social media coordinator for The Trumpet Online, a flutist in the university’s wind ensemble and works in the recording studio. He is an avid music fanatic and record collector, loves bad movies and hangs out regularly with his pets, Sam the dog and Servo the cat.
“I am very excited to be working with the ICC this semester. I hope to apply much of the knowledge I’ve gained through my radio program to this agency and pick up further experience while I’m at it.”
Kira Brown is a senior majoring in public relations with a minor in criminal justice. A graduate from Magnolia High School in New Martinsville, West Virginia, Kira is an avid Atlanta Braves, Los Angeles Angels, and Portland Thorns fan. She loves soccer, music, Alex Morgan, and cats.
Brett Cox is a junior majoring in public relations with a minor in health and fitness. A native of Washington, Pennsylvania, Brett is a Pirates, Steelers, and Penguins fan, is a member of the fitness club, and enjoys anything that involves physical activity.
He is a graduate of McGuffey High School in Claysville, Pennsylvania.
“I have a firm belief that the ICC will give me the experience I need in order to become the best public relations practitioner I can be. ICC is something all PR majors should be a part of if they want a real world experience of being in public relations.”
Hannah Mason is a senior majoring in English writing and literature with a minor in public relations. She is a graduate of Wheeling Central Catholic High School in Wheeling, West Virginia.
Hannah is a member of the Honors College and works as assistant editor and writer for West Liberty’s student newspaper, The Trumpet. She also has experience as a teaching assistant and has written and edited for WLU’s creative writing publication, Ampersand.
Asia Waggle is a junior majoring in public relations with a minor in graphic design. She is a member of Beta Rho Epsilon where she practices her PR and leadership skills by holding the positions of Recruitment Chair and Marketing Chair.
A graduate of East Liverpool High School, East Liverpool, Ohio, Asia loves roller coasters, music, Netflix, and painting nails.
