WEST LIBERTY, W.Va., Sept. 16, 2015 — West Liberty University has picked one of its own to assist prospective students with the college decision as it announced Kacie Murray as the regional admissions representative for the Eastern Panhandle and central part of the Mountain State. Murray began her duties on Aug. 16.
“We are pleased to have Kacie sharing her first hand knowledge of the value of a West Liberty University education with West Virginia’s families and high school students,” said Director of Admissions Brenda King.
Murray will be assisting students and directing them to new opportunities like the first Black and Gold Day of the fall semester, coming up on Saturday, Sept. 19. Prospective students who attend will have a chance to enter a drawing for a $1,000 scholarship to be awarded that day.
Murray graduated with a public relations degree in May 2015. While a student, she worked in the admissions department, serving as a student ambassador, giving campus tours to prospective students and their families and helping to recruit at admission events. She also worked in the department of media relations.

West Liberty University offers close relationships with professors, a wide variety of extracurricular activities, and the opportunity to receive a quality education without the burden of massive postgraduate debt,” said Murray.
Before becoming a Hilltopper, Murray graduated from Lincoln High School of Shinnston, W.Va., in 2011. She is a resident of Lumberport, W.Va., where she spends her time enjoying the outdoors with her West Highland Terrier, Sunshine.
“I’m excited to be able to share my story and connect potential students with this one-of-a-kind institution,” she said.

Five colleges and a School of Professional Studies offer more than 70 majors and 30 programs that are nationally recognized or accredited. WLU also offers several degree completion programs for non-traditional students, including its Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Leadership and Administration (BLA) and the Regents Bachelor of Arts degree.
