WEST LIBERTY, W.Va., April 23, 2024 — The work of senior art majors and their capstone projects will be on display in the Nutting Gallery starting on April 24. The campus community and public are invited to view the senior exhibitions in the Nutting Gallery, located in the Hall of Fine Arts from 5:30 to 7 pm.
“Our Senior Exhibition is always a special time for students, faculty, and gallery guests. We are proud of our students and their hard work. This exhibition is an important way to add confidence and professionalism to their education,” said Professor Brian Fencl, director of the Nutting Gallery.
The artwork and research projects represent the students’ capstone projects and are required for graduation. Students enrolled in the illustration and graphic design concentrations complete a Senior Project course with Professor of Graphic Design Moonjung Kang. In this class, Professor Kang guides the creation of the work on display which becomes their portfolios as they transition into the professional world.
